2012 SYLLABUS

Please note the following
ammendment to the 2012 Syllabus.


Piano Section
Class numbers 303 to 308 have been reassigned. See individual classes for proper class numbers.

New class added: Class 303 Concert Group - Youth 13 Years and under (see box below).

New Scholarship for 2012:

Ottenheimer Baker Perpetual Trophy, Miniature and Cash Award of $500 to be awarded to the most outstanding performance by an individual for Class 303 Piano Concert Group - Youth 13 Years and Under.

Class 307 Complete Solo Work Ages 12 - 14 and Class 308 Complete Solo Work Ages 9 - 11 have been combined. The new class is Class 307 Complete Solo Work 14 Years and Under.


Class 303 Concert Group Piano
Youth 13 Years and Under. . .Fee $30

Own choice of three selections. Time limit 15 minutes.
Penalty for abuse of time limit. Will be judged on discrimination of selections which must be from standard concert literature, on group arrangement, contrast, appropriateness, keys, technique, interpretation and stage presence. Competitors must not include in this class any selection from another class in which they are entered in the current festival.



The 2012 Kiwanis Music Festival of St. John's tentatively scheduled to run from February 19th to March 1st, 2012.

Closing date for ALL entries: OCTOBER 29th, 2011

Entry Forms are now available at the locations listed below.

ALL entries which are late for any reason will be charged a penalty of $10.00 per day up to a maximum of 5 working days, after which no entries will be accepted.

We recommend entries be hand delivered with personal cheque to the Festival Office,90 O'Leary Avenue, - Suite 210
