2007 Inductees: MR. LLOYD NOSEWORTHY
Category: Administration / Support
Lloyd Noseworthy, born in St. John’s, joined the Kiwanis Club of St. John’s on May 10, 1967, just over forty years ago and was just recently presented with the Kiwanis Legion of Honour for that accomplishment. He has also been awarded a Mel Osborne Fellowship for service to Kiwanis.
He first joined the Kiwanis Music Festival Board in 1973 serving as Secretary for that year and as a director for the next two years. He was elected as Treasurer in 1976 and served in that capacity for the next five years.
One of the many Kiwanians proposing Lloyd for this honour, a former President of the Kiwanis Music Festival and a past Lt. Governor of Kiwanis stated;-
“ Lloyd has been active in the festival as long as he has been a member in Kiwanis. He has been an individual who did not seek the limelight and for many years worked behind the scenes looking after the finances especially during the period of the Festival. The hours he has logged in over the years, at the office and on site at the festival, cannot be surpassed by any other Kiwanian or outside volunteer.”
Because of his untiring and dedicated service to Kiwanis and the Festival, we are proud to honour a fellow Kiwanian as we induct Lloyd Noseworthy into the Kiwanis Music Festival Association of St. John’s Hall of Honour in the Administration & Support Category.
