
CATHERINE ROBERTSON

Catherine Robertson studied piano at Queen’s University in Kingston, graduating with highest honours. She went on to study piano in London, England with Kendall Taylor C.B.E., where she completed a Licentiate at the Royal Academy of Music (LRSM). Catherine also attained her Master of Music Degree in piano performance and literature from the University of Western Ontario. Her interest in vocal pedagogy and conducting led to singing as a consort member with Tafelmusik Chamber Choir and presently with the Elora Festival Singers. Catherine is the music director and a founding member of TACTUS Vocal Ensemble, an octet specializing in repertoire of the European Renaissance. Ms. Robertson is active as a piano soloist, coach, accompanist and guest conductor. She adjudicates piano, voice and choral classes at music festivals across the country. Catherine teaches piano and keyboard literature at Conrad Grebel College, University of Waterloo.
